Baked Honey Marinade Cod

Delicately baked cod fillets glazed with a sweet and savory honey marinade make for a healthy and flavorful dinner option that’s quick to prepare.

  • 4 cod fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, ginger, and lemon juice.
  3. Place cod fillets in a baking dish and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Pour the honey marinade over the fillets, ensuring they are well coated.
  5. Let marinate for 10 minutes if time allows.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving, if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, serve with steamed vegetables or a side of jasmine rice. You can also substitute cod with other white fish like haddock or tilapia.
