Beautiful holiday Brie Cheese Wreath on white plate

This Brie Cheese Wreath is an elegant and festive appetizer featuring creamy Brie wrapped in flaky puff pastry and decorated as a savory holiday wreath, perfect for entertaining guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 8 oz Brie cheese, rind removed
  • 1/4 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs for garnish
  • Flour for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry into a 12-inch circle.
  3. Place the Brie cheese in the center of the pastry.
  4. Spread the cranberry sauce evenly over the top of the Brie.
  5. Sprinkle chopped nuts over the cranberry layer.
  6. Cut the pastry into strips around the Brie, about 1-inch wide, leaving the center intact.
  7. Twist each strip gently and fold them over the Brie to create a wreath shape.
  8. Brush the entire pastry wreath with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
  10. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before garnishing with fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs.
  11. Serve warm with crackers or sliced baguette.

Notes

For a sweeter touch, drizzle a little honey over the baked wreath before serving, or substitute the cranberry sauce with fig jam for a different flavor profile.
