Homemade Cheesy Broccoli Chicken and Rice Casserole

A comforting and creamy casserole combining tender chicken, fresh broccoli, and fluffy rice baked with a rich cheesy sauce for a satisfying family meal.

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 3 cups broccoli florets, steamed
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth.
  3. Add the cooked chicken, steamed broccoli, cooked rice, and 1 cup of cheddar cheese into the bowl. Stir until all ingredients are evenly coated with the sauce.
  4. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
  6. Drizzle the melted butter over the casserole to help achieve a golden crust.
  7. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes or until the casserole is bubbly and the cheese on top is melted and slightly browned.
  8. Remove from oven and let it sit for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle some crushed red pepper flakes before baking or serve with a fresh side salad for a complete meal.
