Chocolate Date Bark

Homemade Chocolate Date Bark Close-Up

This Chocolate Date Bark is a naturally sweet, no-bake treat combining rich dark chocolate with chewy dates for a healthy and delicious snack.

Ingredients

  • 200g dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
  • 1 cup pitted Medjool dates, chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (almonds or walnuts)
  • 2 tbsp shredded coconut (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

Instructions

  1. Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each.
  2. Pour the melted chocolate onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and spread evenly to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  3. Sprinkle chopped dates, nuts, shredded coconut, and sea salt evenly over the melted chocolate.
  4. Press lightly to ensure the toppings adhere to the chocolate.
  5. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or until the chocolate is firm.
  6. Break the bark into pieces and store in an airtight container in the fridge.

Notes

For an extra touch, drizzle melted white chocolate over the bark before chilling or add a pinch of chili powder for a spicy kick.
