This ground turkey broccoli pasta is a healthy, flavorful dish combining lean protein, fresh broccoli, and tender pasta for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (penne or fusilli)
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 3 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add ground turkey to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 7-8 minutes.
  5. Season the turkey with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  6. Add broccoli florets and chicken broth to the skillet. Cover and cook for 5 minutes until broccoli is tender but still bright green.
  7. Mix cooked pasta into the skillet and toss to combine all ingredients.
  8. Remove from heat and stir in grated Parmesan cheese.
  9. Adjust seasoning if necessary and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, garnish with fresh basil or a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
