Old Fashioned Peanut Butter Pie

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Chopped peanuts or chocolate shavings (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar; mix until evenly moistened.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan to form the crust.
  4. Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes until set and golden. Let cool completely.
  5. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and peanut butter together until smooth and creamy.
  6. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing well to combine.
  7. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  8. Gently fold the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture until fully incorporated.
  9. Pour the filling into the cooled crust and smooth the top with a spatula.
  10. Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours or until firm.
  11. Before serving, garnish with chopped peanuts or chocolate shavings if desired.

For an extra indulgent touch, drizzle melted chocolate over the top just before serving.
