One-Pan Creamy Parmesan Garlic Mushroom Chicken

Savor tender chicken breasts cooked in a luscious creamy Parmesan garlic sauce with earthy mushrooms, all made effortlessly in one pan for a comforting and flavorful meal.

  • 2 large chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Add chicken to the skillet and sear for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through; remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. Add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms to the same skillet; sauté for 4-5 minutes until mushrooms are browned and fragrant.
  5. Pour in chicken broth, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  6. Reduce heat to medium and stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  7. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spoon the sauce over the top and simmer for 3-4 minutes to combine flavors.
  8. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy warm.
