A tangy and creamy Key Lime Pie with a buttery graham cracker crust, perfect for a refreshing dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 2 (14-ounce) cans sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup fresh key lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated lime zest
  • Whipped cream, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan to form the crust.
  3. Bake crust for 8 minutes. Remove from oven and set aside to cool slightly.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, and lime zest until smooth and well combined.
  5. Pour the filling into the baked crust.
  6. Bake the pie for 10 to 12 minutes until tiny pinhole bubbles burst on the surface. Do not brown.
  7. Remove from oven and cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours or until set.
  8. Serve chilled, topped with whipped cream if desired.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh key lime juice and refrigerate the pie overnight to enhance the tartness and texture.
