This Shrimp Scampi Pasta Bake combines succulent shrimp with a garlicky buttery sauce and perfectly baked pasta, creating a comforting and flavorful Italian-inspired casserole.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni)
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente, drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  4. Pour white wine (or chicken broth) into the skillet, scraping any browned bits from the bottom. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, cook until the sauce thickens slightly, about 3-5 minutes.
  6. Add cooked pasta and shrimp back into the skillet, toss to coat evenly with the sauce. Stir in chopped parsley.
  7. Transfer mixture to a baking dish. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly on top.
  8. Bake uncovered for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, garnish with lemon zest or serve with a fresh side salad to balance the richness of the dish.
